Ordination of a new Deacon by Florinis Irenaeustranslated

On Saturday, August 1, 2026, the Most Reverend Metropolitan of Florina, Prespa and Eordaia, Mr. Irenaios, went to the Holy Church of Saints Constantine and Helen of Florina, where he consecrated the Orthros and celebrated the High Priestly Divine Liturgy. During its duration, he ordained as a Deacon the most reverend Mr. Georgios Konstantinopoulos, originally from the Florina Hills, graduated in Agricultural Technologist and final student of the Department of Accounting and Finance.

The Eucharistic Gathering was attended by clergy and a large number of believers from the Parish and the wider region. The Deputy Mayor of Florina, Mr. Konstantinos Rozas, and the President of the Lofon Community, Mr. Ioannis Mitskopoulos, also attended from the local authorities.

Before the Ordination, the candidate took the floor and, with obvious emotion, praised God for the great blessing of his vocation to the Priesthood. At the same time, he expressed his warm thanks to Pastor Mr. Irenaios for his paternal love and the trust he showed in his person.
