Renovation works continue at the Holy Metropolitan Church of the Entry of the Virgin in Rethymnotranslated

The renovation works of the Holy Metropolitan Church of Isodios of the Theotokos city of Rethymno are continuing at a rapid pace, in order, on the eve of the feast, on November 20, 2026, to carry out the Tyrannoxia of the Holy Church and to return it to religious use, after the many-month interruption of the Sacred Services. Inside the Holy Church, the works are carried out with our own resources and with the important cooperation of people from our country, who practically support the effort to complete the renovation.

The Holy Diocese of Rethymnon and Avlopotamos and the Holy Metropolitan Church express their warm and grateful thanks to everyone and, at the same time, urge those who still have the ability and good mood to contribute to the completion of the necessary works.

At the same time, the exterior work on the Holy Church has already begun, including the replacement of the tiles. These works are financed by the Region of Crete - Regional Unit of Rethymno, to which our Local Church expresses its warm thanks for its substantial assistance and support.

"Everyone's wish is that the work will be completed...
