The reception of the Bulgarian Patriarch Daniel on Mount Athos (PHOTO)translated

On Mount Athos is the Patriarch of Bulgaria Mr. Daniel, for the first time after his election and enthronement, with his official reception taking place this morning in Karyes.  APOSTOLI, MOUNT HOLY: Raphael Georgiadis, ope.gr

In accordance with the canonical order and the institutions for the reception of Primate Orthodox Churches, His Beatitude was received by the representative of the Ecumenical Patriarch, Rev. Metropolitan of Miletus Mr. Apostolos, the Primate of Mount Athos, Hieromonk George, the members of the Holy Episcopacy, the Representatives of the Holy Monasteries as well as the Political Commander of Mount Athos, Stefanis Alcibiades as well as the Consul General of Bulgaria in Thessaloniki, Anton Markov.

Immediately after the reception, His Beatitude headed to the Church of the Protato where a Doxology was performed for the reception.

The Patriarch of Bulgaria was addressed by the Patriarch, Elder George, welcoming him to the Athonian State.

In his objection, Mr. Daniel expressed his pleasure at the fact that he is visiting the Orchard of Panagia while also referring to the great spiritual radiation of Mount Athos to the world.
