Liturgy of the Holy Icon of Saint Eustathius in New Ionian Islandstranslated

With special solemnity, the commemorative events for the seventh anniversary of the holy and glorious Martyr Saint Eustathius and his companions were completed at the venerable church dedicated to the same saint in New Ionian Islands. On the evening of the feast day, Sunday, September 20, 2026, the Venerable Evening Prayer was concluded, with the participation of the Most Reverend Metropolitan Philadelphias, Heraclius, and Chalcedon, Gabriel, presiding, and a multitude of clergy present.

Following this, a magnificent procession of the Holy Icon and the Holy Reliquary of Saint Eustathius took place in the streets of New Ionian Islands, under the sounds of the Firefighters' Band, with the presence of the Governor of New Ionian Islands, Mr. Panagiotis Manouros, deputies, members of the municipal council, representatives of rescue services, and a crowd of faithful.

After the conclusion of the procession, the Most Reverend thanked the present clergy and the faithful congregation, praying for all to be rich in grace and the blessing of God through the intercessions of the Holy Great Martyr Eustathius.
