Ordination to Elder of the Archdeacon of the Archbishop of Albania Ioannistranslated

The ordination of its Archdeacon, Fr. Ioannis Korovesi, was performed on Sunday, October 18, 2026, at the Cathedral of the Resurrection of Christ in Tirana by the Archbishop of Tirana, Durres and all of Albania etc. John.  His Beatitude presided over the Divine Liturgy at which the Bishop of Amantias, Mr. Ignatios, as well as clergy from the Church of Albania, concelebrated.

Addressing the new Elder of the Church as well as the numerous congregation, the Primate of the Church of Albania expressed thanks to the Triune God as under the invocation of the Holy Spirit the local Church now has one more worker in the Vineyard of the Lord. He urged Fr. Ioannis to continue working with zeal and humility as, as the Archbishop said, God opposes the proud and lifts up the humble.

"I hope and believe that Fr. Ioannis, who served for many years as an archdeacon, will also serve as an elder with sincerity, devotion and humility. May God enlighten and bless him!", wished His Beatitude.

The ordination of Father Ioannis followed with the clergy and the people exclaiming "Worthy"!...
