Chios Markos presided over the 4th Session of the 36th Pan-Orthodox Conference on Sects and Parareligionstranslated

From November 3 to 5, 2026, the 56th Pan-Orthodox Conference of Commissioned Orthodox Churches and Holy Metropolises on Sects and Parareligion issues was held in Corinth, with the theme "Magic - Divination - Astrology - Future Studies". The Conference was held under the auspices of His Beatitude the Archbishop of Athens and All Greece, Mr. Jerome II and was organized by the Synodal Committee on Heresies and the Holy Metropolis of Corinth, Sikyon, Zemenou, Tarsus and Polyphegous.

The work of the Conference was also attended by the Most Reverend Metropolitan of Chios, Psara and Oinoussa, Mr. Markos, Member of the S.E. Iresen, who, on the evening of Wednesday, November 4, presided over the work of the 4th Session.

Also, the representative of the Holy Metropolis of Chios, Mr. Argyrios Stakias, professor of Physical Education, provided information about the "Acts of the Anti-heretical Action Section of the Holy Metropolis of Chios, Psara and Oinoussa".
