PtD meeting with a delegation of the "Isaac-Solomos Memorial Initiative"translated

The President of the Republic Konstantinos A. Tasoulas received a delegation of the "Isaac-Solomos Memorial Initiative", consisting of the family of Tasos Isaak, namely his mother Tasoula, his sister Kyriaki and his daughter Anastasia, as well as the members of the Initiative Kyriakos Giagos and Andreas Pettemeridis. The delegation informed Mr. Tassoulas about the commemorative march that is taking place these days in Greece, on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the murders of Tasos Isaac and Solomos Solomos.

The Ambassador of Cyprus to Greece Stavros Augustidis participated in the meeting.

The President of the Republic expressed his deep appreciation for the mission of the Initiative and their important and moving journey, which keeps alive the memory of the sacrifice of these two heroes who were publicly murdered in August 1996 by Turkish fire and the Turkish mob in Deryneia.
