Kyriakos Mitsotakis at the Monastery of the Annunciation of the Virgin in Ormylia, Halkidikitranslated

The Holy Monastery of the Annunciation of the Theotokos Ormylia was visited today, October 8, 2026, by the Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis, where he was received by the Elder Elisha, the Abbess of the Monastery Gerontissa Nikodimis and a group of brothers. Kyriakos Mitsotakis lit a candle, worshiped the Icon of the Annunciation of the Virgin and listened to the tropes of the Annunciation and the Polychronio.

The Prime Minister was then addressed by Elder Elissaios. In his opposition, Kyriakos Mitsotakis congratulated the nuns for their work, characteristically saying: "We find here moments of reflection and strength to continue in difficult times."

Concluding his visit, the Prime Minister headed to the synodical for a treat prepared in his honor by the brotherhood.
