The 1st Lecture of the Orthodox Faith Seminar of I.M. Fthiotidostranslated

The catechetical meetings of the Orthodox Faith Seminar for the new ecclesiastical year 2026-2027 began from the Holy Church of Agios Georgios N. Ambianis. The Most Reverend Metropolitan of Fthiotido Mr. Simeon officiated at the Solemn High Priestly Vespers on the feast of the collection of the Holy Relics of Saint George the Great Martyr and announced the opening of the meetings of the Orthodox Faith Seminar, the cycle of which this year is dedicated to the local Saints of Fthiotido.

In fact, on the occasion of the 500th anniversary of the birth of Saint Seraphim of Zelios Locrids of Domboitos, the local Church, under the guidance of the Reverend Mr. Simeon, has announced and planned many events dedicated to Saint Seraphim and which are held under the auspices of the Holy Synod of the Church of Greece.

The open Seminar of the Orthodox Faith is yet another missionary effort of spiritual building and catechism of the Fthiotian Church and is carried out under the responsibility of the Office for the Coordination of Divine Sermons and Dealing with Heresies of the local Church and this year the meetings will take place in various Churches of the city,...
