Facing trials in our livestranslated

Chrysostomos Rousis, former High School Principal, notes the positions of the Fathers of the Church and scientists, regarding the trials of life. Trials are a part of our lives. Indeed, our life is full of trials, and problems that cause us pain. Mental pain is often caused by jealousy, the malice of others, even our colleagues or relatives, who worship individual interest!
According to the holy Fathers, God through pain and trials educates His children like a good Father, out of love and not malice, because He wants them to return to Him. The parable of the Prodigal refers to this paternal divine love, our repentance and return to God - our Father.
Trials are "a means of training toward humility, patience, and love." (Holy Synod of the Church of Greece) Furthermore, trials and pain also help spiritual people to reach higher forms of "spiritual perfection": The blessed elder Paisios accepted the "terrible" disease with joy. God saves for each person a cross - a ladder - to climb from the cross to Heaven. (Agios Paisios).
