The Synaxis of the Samian Saints was celebrated with splendortranslated

With particular splendor and the participation of the Clergy, the political and military authorities of the island and a multitude of faithful Samians, locals, emigrants and visitors, the Synaxis of the Samian Saints was celebrated on Saturday 1 and Sunday 2 August 2026.

Honored were the glorious Saints Apostles Paul and John the Theologian, as founders of the Local Church, Saints Leo, Hermogenes and Heraklion Bishops of Samos, Saint George the Neomartyr, Saint Paul the Latin, Saints military and Confessors Gregory, Leo and Theodore, as well as Saints Kollyvades Pateres.

On Saturday afternoon, the Great Solemn Vespers was held at the Holy Metropolitan Church of Agios Nikolaos Samos, presided over by His Eminence Metropolitan Mr. Eusevios.

Afterwards, the procession of the Holy Relics and the Holy Icons of the Saints took place, followed by the Artoklasia and the Divine Sermon in Pythagoras Square.

On Sunday morning, the Eortios Orthros and the Solemn Hierarchical Divine Liturgy were held in the Holy Metropolitan Church of Agios Nikolaos Samos. His Eminence preached the Divine Word and, before the dismissal, performed the Holy Memorial for the repose of those everywhere on earth...
