This year's camps of the Holy Metropolis of Sparta have been successfully completedtranslated
The 2nd camp period for the boys ended on Friday, July 31, 2026 at the excellent facilities of the Holy Metropolis of Monemvasia and Sparta in Taygeti, which accommodated 90 teenagers from 2nd and 3rd high school and all high school classes.
The leader of the period was the preacher of the Monemvasia Diocese and His Eminence Archimandrite of Sparta Fr. Efstathios Porphyris, the deputy leader was Mr. Yiannis Katsoulis and the responsible priest was Fr. Ioannis Kastris vicar of the Assumption Parish of Amyklon.
The Most Reverend Metropolitan of Monemvasia and Sparta Mr. Efstathios visited the campers and executives twice, in order to have a spiritual contact with them and a fruitful exchange of views.
The first visit of the seventh Pastor took place at noon on Monday, July 27, accompanied by the Deputy Regional Governor P.E. of Laconia, Mr. Theodoros Veroutis, the Mayor of Sparta, Mr. Michalis Vakalopoulos, and the Commander of the Military Guard of Laconia, Brigadier General, Mr. Georgios Zorbas.
