Canada Apostolos: Without the Patriarchal Orthodox Theological Academy we will not have prieststranslated

The Transfiguration of the Holy Apostle and Evangelist John the Theologian and Patron of the Patriarchal Orthodox Theological Academy Toronto was celebrated with splendor on September 25 and 26, 2026. The center of the celebration was the eponymous Holy Chapel within the Academy where on the evening of Friday, September 25, the Great Solemn Vespers was celebrated, presided over by the Most Reverend Archbishop of Canada, Mr. Apostolos, concelebrated by the Theophilest Bishop of Patara, Mr. Athenagoras, Director of the Academy.

Attending clergy from Toronto and the wider area, Gerontissa Alexia and the brotherhood of the Holy Monastery of Agios Kosmas of Aitolos, the students of the Academy, Lords of the Ecumenical Patriarchate, members of Philoptochos and a multitude of believers were present.

This year's celebration had a special splendor, as a holy relic of Saint Amfilochios of Patmos, coming from the Holy Monastery of the Annunciation of the Virgin in Patmos, which was founded by the Saint himself, was brought to Canada for veneration.
