Devotional prayer for Saint Dionysios the Areopagite, in the homonymous church of Piraeustranslated

In an atmosphere of indescribable elation and unspeakable emotion, on Friday 2-10-26, the memory of the first bishop of Athens, disciple of the Apostle Paul and excellent judge, Saint Dionysios the Areopagite, was solemnly celebrated. On the terrible Good Friday of the Crucifixion and with the darkening of the sun that shocked the world, the young Dionysius exclaimed, inspired by God's grace, "Or God suffers or everything perishes" (either God suffers or everything is lost). With this moral report and his return to Athens, Dionysios attended the sermon of the Apostle Paul and his love for the new faith was established in him. So together with Damaris' wife and his family he was baptized a Christian. In fact, Dionysius' belonging to Orthodoxy is reflected in the Acts of the Apostles (chapter 17 verse 34) "and certain men who were attached to him believed, including Dionysius the Areopagite and a woman named Damaris and others with them".
