New film depicts the transformative power of Eucharistic adoration

October 3, 2026 · 1 min read

A new movie is bringing the transformative power of Eucharistic adoration to the big screen. “ Adore Him: He Is Here ” uses firsthand accounts of real encounters and transformation and depictions of salvation history to portray the powerful love of God that is found in the Blessed Sacrament.

The docudrama features several prominent Catholic figures including Archbishop Paul Coakley of the Archdiocese of Oklahoma City; Archbishop José Gómez of the Archdiocese of Los Angeles; Father Chris Alar of the Marian Fathers of the Immaculate Conception; Curtis Martin, the founder of FOCUS; evangelist Chris Stefanick; and many more.

The film will be in theaters across the United States Oct. 4–8.

The inspiration for the film came as a response to the docudrama “ Jesus Thirsts: The Miracle of the Eucharist ,” which was released in theaters in 2024. Created by the same filmmakers as “Adore Him,” “Jesus Thirsts” was made in response to a poll that showed that roughly 70% of Catholics don’t believe in the real presence of Jesus in the Eucharist.

“We wanted to demonstrate that Jesus is real in the Eucharist,” Deacon Steve Greco, the filmmaker behind both films, told EWTN News in an…

I saw the trailer for Jesus Thirsts last year and it really made me think twice about how often I just sit in the pew instead of stopping by adoration. Sounds like this new one builds right on that—especially with Archbishop Coakley and Father Chris Alar in it. Might try to catch it one of those October nights after work.

I saw that "Jesus Thirsts" was also from the same creators, and in fact, after this trailer, I started attending adoration in our parish more often. I wonder if this new film will show something more about what this looks like in ordinary life, not only for archbishops and famous evangelists. Maybe it's worth going on October 4-8.

I saw that it is the same team that made "Jesus Thirsts" and the goal is still to show that Jesus is really present. At our parish, after the Sunday mass, adoration is often almost empty, so I wonder if the film will also speak about these ordinary moments when we are alone before the Holy Sacrament, like when I spend the afternoon on Thursday. It interests me.

Look, both movies are from the same team, right? After 'Jesus Thirsts' which made many rethink the Real Presence, this one with Archbishop Coakley and Father Chris Alar shows that it's not just for big talkers. In our parish the worship hall after the service on weekdays is usually half empty, so I would like to see if the film also talks about these quiet moments of the ordinary world. I will try to see it October 4-8.

I saw that this movie comes directly after "Jesus Thirsts" and uses the same people, from Archbishop Coakley to Father Chris Alar. In our parish, after Liturgy, the adoration chapel is usually empty on Tuesday evenings, so I wonder if they will look like a regular hour, not just big testimonies. Maybe I'll go see him between October 4th and 8th.
