With the blessing of Metropolitan John of Belgorod and Stary Oskol, the Holy Right-Believing Prince Alexander Nevsky is the heavenly patron of Stary Oskol. For us, his name is not just a page of history. This is an example of faith, courage and love for the Fatherland. And it is especially gratifying that in our city there are two churches dedicated to this great saint. One of them is located on the territory of the Oskol Electrometallurgical Plant named after. A. A. Ugarova. On September 11, on the eve of the patronal feast, it was especially solemn in this house of God. The all-night vigil was celebrated by Metropolitan John of Belgorod and Stary Oskol, co-served by the clergy of Stary Oskol. Praying during the service were OEMK Managing Director Kirill Chernov, Chairman of the Council of Deputies of the Stary Oskol City District Tatyana Karpacheva, plant employees and church parishioners. At the end of the service, the archpastor addressed the worshipers with a sermon.
