“Don’t pass by”: a traditional charity event to collect warm clothes for the homeless will be held in Yekaterinburgtranslated

On Sunday, October 18, 2026, from 8:00 to 13:00, a traditional charity event “Don’t Pass By” to collect warm clothes for the homeless will be held in four churches in Yekaterinburg.
– When we help the homeless, we don’t ask them (and ourselves) whether they deserve our help. It's not up to us to decide. We must deal with man as Christ says: “For I was hungry, and you gave me food; I was thirsty, and they gave Me something to drink; I was a stranger, and they accepted Me; naked and clothed Me; I was sick, and they visited Me…” (Matthew 25:21–36). Helping another is not always a movement from the mind, but more often from the heart. Mercy is higher than justice, shared the Orthodox Mercy Service.
If you want to help the homeless, we invite you to the Divine Liturgy in one of these churches:
– Cathedral of John the Baptist (Repin St., 6 b);
– Church-Monument on the Blood (Tsarskaya St., 10);
– Church in the name of St. George the Victorious (Bilimbayevskaya St., 4);
– Cathedral in honor of the Dormition of the Blessed Virgin Mary at VIZ (Kirova St., 65).
Before and after the Liturgy, you will be able to make a donation of food or money.
Let us remind you that with the onset of cold weather, the Orthodox Mercy Service in Yekaterinburg goes into increased load mode. Already…
