The abbess of the Odigitrievsky Monastery took part in the Meeting of Abbots and Abbesses of the Russian Orthodox Churchtranslated

The annual Meeting of Abbots and Abbesses of the monasteries of the Russian Orthodox Church was held in the Hall of Church Councils of the Cathedral of Christ the Savior in Moscow. It was headed by His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Rus'. The abbess of the Chelyabinsk Odigitrievsky Convent, Abbess Eusevia (Lobanova), took part in the work of the Meeting. This year the Assembly brought together 665 representatives of 177 dioceses of the Russian Orthodox Church - monasteries of Russia, the Belarusian Exarchate, the Kazakhstan and Central Asian metropolitan districts, the Russian Church Abroad and the Russian Ecclesiastical Mission in Jerusalem. In his primal speech, His Holiness Patriarch Kirill spoke about the importance of obedience in monastic life and the responsibility of each monk for the spiritual atmosphere of the monastery. According to the Primate, obedience helps to overcome pride and the desire to defend one’s own opinion, teaches humility and readiness to hear each other.
