Rector of the Church of the Intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary. Anastasievsk took part in the Tree Planting Festivaltranslated

On October 28, 2026, the rector of the Church of the Intercession of the Most Holy Theotokos in the village of Anastasievka, Priest John Ptashinsky, took part in the traditional Arbor Festival, which took place in the village park. This year the event was dedicated to the Year of Unity of the Peoples of Russia.

The celebration was attended by representatives of the administration of the rural settlement, deputy O. A. Sopelnyak, Sunday school director A. Yu. Ptashinskaya and pupils of kindergarten No. 36 “Yagodka”.

Before the start of the event, the priest addressed those present with an edifying word. He recalled man's responsibility for preserving nature as God's creation, citing the words of Holy Scripture: “And the Lord God took the man and put him in the Garden of Eden to cultivate it and keep it” (Gen. 2:15).

The Arbor Planting Festival is designed to strengthen a caring attitude towards one’s native village and instill in the younger generation responsibility for preserving the environment.

During the event, participants planted deciduous and coniferous trees, as well as shrubs, in the park.
