The rector of the Church of the Jerusalem Icon of the Mother of God took part in the solemn ceremony of joining the “Youth Army” in Taganrogtranslated

On October 19, 2026, at MOBU Secondary School No. 38 in the city of Taganrog, a solemn ceremony of entry of schoolchildren into the All-Russian children's and youth military-patriotic public movement "YUNARMIA" took place. On this day, 315 students from eleven educational organizations of the city took the oath of allegiance to the Fatherland.

The event was attended by representatives of government agencies, the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation and the clergy. The rector of the Church of the Jerusalem Icon of the Mother of God in Taganrog, Hieromonk Pimen (Kolesnikov), addressed the Youth Army members with a pastoral word.

Among the guests of honor were the deputy chief of staff of the Rostov regional branch of the VVPOD "YUNARMIA" Nikolai Nikolaevich Ponomarenko, the head of the department of training and conscription of citizens for military service of the Military Commissariat of the Rostov Region for the city of Taganrog, Lieutenant Colonel Vladimir Vasilyevich Afanasyev, a representative of the 708th military aviation regiment of the city of Taganrog, the head of the municipal headquarters of the "YUNARMIA" city Taganrog Anastasia Vladimirovna Shkurko.
