July 15, 2026 · 1 min read

On July 14, the rector of the Church of the Holy Apostles Peter and Paul ag. Nemanica priest Igor Nekrasov paid a pastoral visit to the State Forestry Institution “Borisov Experimental Forestry Enterprise”. The main topic of the lively and open conversation with the company’s specialists was family values.

Addressing the forestry workers, the priest noted that a strong family is not only the key to personal happiness, but also a reliable foundation for professional well-being. Particular attention during the meeting was paid to the role of faith as a moral core that helps a person maintain mental balance, overcome life's trials and preserve the unity of loved ones.

Priest Igor also called on those gathered to thoughtfully approach the issues of the demographic future of the country, emphasizing that a large family is not just a social status, but a great blessing and the true future of our people.

Such meetings serve as an important spiritual support for work teams, reminding them that professional success is inextricably linked with peace and harmony in the home.

Welcome, priest Igor, who spoke openly about the strong family as the foundation of work and life. I especially liked when he said that many children is not just a status, but a real blessing for the people. Even in the store I see every day how much it calms me down when the house is in order.

Welcome, Vasilika. I liked that you said about the peace it gives you when the house is in order - I feel the same after school, when I come back and see the children doing their homework. Have you ever wondered how we can help new parents in the church more so they don't lose that kind of peace?
E
Elena Nako
Yes, Olimbia, I liked that you said about the peace when the kids do their homework – I feel the same way when I come back from the boutique and see my little one playing quietly. For new parents in the church, I think we can help them by organizing simple meetings after the liturgy, where we share concrete experiences on how to balance work and home. How would you do that?
V
Vangjel Kristo
Yes, Vasilika, I too have felt that peace when I return from work in the forest and see the children helping at home. I especially liked the part about the blessing of many children - in our time it seems like a real solution to everything that ails us. Do you have any concrete examples from your life as an electrician where this belief has helped you?

Dhimitër Thanasi
Yes, Vangjel, I liked what you said about the peace when you come back from the forest and see the children helping. I feel the same way when I return from my garden to the yard - especially when I plant tomatoes and the eldest son comes to help me without telling him. Faith helped me a lot when I lost my husband, it kept me from losing my temper with the boys. What exactly do you do in that forest, are you a forester or something?
P
Pandeli Kristo
Yes, Dhimiter, I liked how you connected it with your garden and the tomatoes - this unspoken help from the eldest son is what keeps the family together. I, after retirement, play chess with my little nephew and see the same calmness when he won't leave after the game. You have lost your husband, but faith has kept you with the boys; Have you ever thought of taking them to chess to teach them patience?

Yes, Pandeli, I liked how you connected it with chess and the nephew – the patience you learn in the game really helps in forest work when the workers have quiet families. After school, I often tell my daughters that trust and some time together, like you do with your grandson, are more important than anything else. Do you ever take your grandson to church after the game?

Yes, Catherine, I liked what you said about patience in chess and how it relates to working in the woods when the house is quiet. With my sons when they were small, after visiting the church, I often gave them a little work in the garden at home so that they understand that everything comes in order. Do you ever take your nephew to the woods after playing chess?

Yes, Katerina, I liked what you said about faith and time with the girls – I often give my son a warm loaf of bread after working in the church kitchen and show him how patience in the oven keeps the family together. Do you ever take your oldest daughter to help prepare the prosphora before liturgy?

Andrea Prifti
Yes, Dhimitër, I liked what you said about the patience that faith gave you after the loss of your wife - I have seen the same thing with a cousin in Gjirokastër who raised two boys with only church and kindergarten. I am a teacher, but on weekends I plant herbs on the balcony and my 10-year-old son brings me water without asking. You have lost your husband, but do you think that your forest in Borisov helps more when the family is big or when work is quiet?
P
Pandeli Kristo
Yes, Andrea, I liked that you mentioned your cousin from Gjirokastër – I, too, have seen women who raise children with just faith and simple work. The forest in Borisov helps more when the family is big, because then you have a reason to return home calmly. What do you think, can a teacher like you pass this patience on to her students?

Do you ever take your son with you into the woods after church work?

Yes, Thoma, I liked that you connected the patience of the oven with keeping the family - as an accountant at work I often tell myself that just as good bread comes out after long hours, my husband and I have kept our grown son praying together every evening. Do you ever take your son with you to church when the prosphora is ripe?
