El nacimiento de San Juan Bautista se celebró según el calendario no revisado en el Obispado de Besarabia del Sur. En esta ocasión, Mons. Veniamin ofició la Santa Divina Liturgia en la parroquia de Căuşeni, República de Moldavia.

Su Eminencia destacó la fe firme de los justos Zacarías e Isabel, padres de San Juan Bautista, mostrando que siguen siendo un modelo para las familias cristianas: "Por su experiencia vemos que Dios recompensa la fe, la paciencia y la firmeza de quienes le permanecen fieles hasta el final".

"Aunque eran de edad avanzada y no tenían hijos, no perdieron la esperanza, sino que perseveraron en la oración, sirviendo a Dios y pidiendo constantemente su misericordia y gracia", dijo el obispo de Besarabia del Sur.

El jerarca instó a los fieles a seguir el ejemplo de los padres de San Juan Bautista: "Cuando atravesemos sufrimientos, privaciones o diversas pruebas de la vida, nunca dejemos de invocar la misericordia y la gracia de Dios sobre nosotros".
