Awarding the choir of the Samara Church of St. George the Victorious at the “Voices of Suzdal” festivaltranslated

On September 19, the closing ceremony of the III Festival of Sacred Music “Voices of Suzdal - 2026” was held in the Transfiguration Cathedral of the Spaso-Evfimiev Monastery in Suzdal. The participants in the music forum, which lasted three and a half months, included 11 leading choirs from Russia and Serbia. As part of the festival, the Samara Metropolis was represented by the choir of the church in honor of the Great Martyr George the Victorious. This summer, Samara singers gave a solo concert of sacred music in the Nativity Cathedral of the Suzdal Kremlin, and also performed chants of the Divine Liturgy in the Vasilyevsky Monastery. At the final closing ceremony, the Samara team was represented by its director, the choir director and head of the regency department of the Samara Theological Seminary, Maria Viktorovna Sinitsyna. For high performing skills and contribution to the development of singing traditions, the choir of St. George's Church was awarded a Letter of Gratitude from the festival's organizing committee.
