Angels and a cross were returned to the building of the St. Petersburg Academytranslated

On October 15, a sculpture of angels holding a copper cross was raised onto the roof of the historic building of the St. Petersburg Theological Academy (7 Obvodny Canal embankment). The original sculpture, designed by the outstanding sculptor François Thibault at the beginning of the 19th century, was lost after 1919. The author of the recreated composition is sculptor P. P. Ignatiev.
