The military-patriotic festival “Connection of Generations” was held on the territory of the Church of the Transfiguration of the Lord in Chebarkultranslated

An exhibition of military equipment and weapons was prepared for the guests, and competitions were held in archery, weightlifting, knife throwing, arm wrestling, assembling and disassembling a Kalashnikov assault rifle and football. Pupils of the “Ark” Sunday school, parish scouts and everyone else took part in the competition. Participants in the festival included parishioners who came with their entire families, as well as military personnel of the famous Vitebsk-Novgorod Tank Division. They took part in sports competitions and demonstration events. A highlight was the “axe porridge” prepared by the rector of the church, Archpriest Dimitry Egorov; about a hundred guests tried it. The festival was held thanks to the joint efforts of the command and military personnel of the Chebarkul division, the military commandant's office of the Chebarkul garrison, the military-historical club "Granit", the regional branch of the Federation of Sports Knife Throwing in the Chelyabinsk Region, the clergy of the Church of the Transfiguration of the Lord and the Orthodox youth association "Favor".
