Information support for social projects will be discussed at the Interregional Conference on Church Social Ministry in Yekaterinburgtranslated

From October 27 to October 30, 2026, the XVII Interregional Conference on Church Social Ministry will be held in Yekaterinburg with the blessing of His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Rus'. It is expected that the forum will be attended by heads of church social projects and charity departments, senior sisters and confessors of the sisterhoods of mercy, diocesan officials responsible for helping those returning from the front, coordinators of church volunteer services from all dioceses of the Ural Federal District, representatives of regional authorities and Yekaterinburg.

Special attention in the conference program will be paid to issues of information support for social projects. On Thursday, October 29, there will be a session “How to talk about charity in the media?”

Participants will discuss whether it is necessary to work with media at all, whether this is the prerogative of only a mature project, where to start building work in media and what to focus on. Practical advice on professional growth in this topic will be given.

The meeting will be moderated by Vasily Vasilyevich Rulinsky, press secretary of the Synodal Department for Church Charity and Social Service.
