A joint action of the clergy and the State Traffic Inspectorate took place on the roads of Krasnodartranslated

On the eve of the feast of the Kazan Icon of the Mother of God, a joint preventive and missionary action was held by the diocesan department to interact with the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Ekaterinodar and Kuban diocese and employees of the State Traffic Inspectorate.

With the blessing of the head of the department for work with law enforcement agencies of the Yekaterinodar and Kuban diocese, Archpriest Gennady Volkov, along with the police, the staff deacon of the Church of the Intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary in the city of Krasnodar, Evgeny Dasov, and members of the Orthodox youth association “Pokrov” addressed the drivers.

The missionaries told road users about the historical origins of the holiday, and traffic police officers, in turn, reminded motorists of the need to strictly adhere to traffic rules.

Participants in the action handed each stopped driver missionary booklets about the National Unity Day holiday and leaflets with traffic rules. Drivers and passengers warmly welcomed the joint initiative of the Church and the traffic police.
