The municipality of Câmpina and the Greek city of Almyros took the first step towards twinning through a friendship pacttranslated

The Prahov municipality of Câmpina and the Greek city of Almyros took the first step towards a future twinning, by signing a friendship pact, during the "Alphabetul Conviețuirii" International Festival, held in Ploiesti.
The document was signed by the deputy mayor of Câmpina, Livia Lupu, and the mayor of Almyros, Dimitrios Kyriakou Eseridis, during the ceremony that marked the opening of the event.
Câmpina was also present at the festival activities through the "Ghiocelul" Folk Ensemble of the "Geo Bogza" Municipal House of Culture, which participated in the parade and presented Romanian traditions through song and dance.
Culture, education and traditions The agreement seeks to bring the two communities together through projects and exchanges of experience in areas such as culture, education and the promotion of traditions. The municipalities are considering concluding an official twinning agreement at a later stage.
