Good thing the Sisters of the Missionaries of the Precious Blood are there handing out food and shelter. In such moments one sees how important it is to have a roof and something warm to eat. I hope the water recedes soon and the people of Xai-Xai go home.

Good to see those Missionary Sisters of the Precious Blood stepping in with food and shelter in Xai-Xai. A dry roof and a hot meal make all the difference when everything's underwater. Hope the floods ease off soon so folks can get back home.

Good thing these guys have food and a roof over their heads in Xai-Xai. My mother often recalled how the church distributed bread during the flood in our village. I hope the water recedes soon and people return to their homes.

Yeah, those Missionary Sisters of the Precious Blood really know how to show up when it counts. A dry roof and hot meal sound simple until you've seen a whole town underwater like that. Praying the waters recede quick for the families in Xai-Xai.

Yes, a simple dry roof makes all the difference when everything else is gone. I remember the sisters' work after the 2000 floods; they somehow stretched their stores of maize meal and beans to feed over 400 people in that same area. Do you know if any of the local Orthodox folks have been able to help with cleanup yet?

It is true, Levan, sharing bread is the easiest and most needed help. My mother also told how the neighbors collected flour and baked lavash when the water cut our roads. Hopefully it will dry out soon in Xai-Xai and these mothers will be able to help even more people.
