Moscow Patriarch expresses condolences for victims of deadly floods in Nepal

Patriarch Kirill of Moscow has expressed his sorrow over the tragic consequences of the floods that struck the Rasuwa region of Nepal.
In messages to Nepal’s President Ram Chandra Poudel and Prime Minister Balendra Shah, the Primate of the Russian Orthodox Church expressed his sincere condolences for the loss of human life and the extensive destruction caused by the natural disaster.
Patriarch Kirill also asked that words of comfort and solidarity be conveyed to those affected, particularly to the families who lost loved ones.
Read below the message from the Patriarch of Moscow: I express my sincere condolences over the floods that struck the Rasuwa region, which resulted in the loss of life and injury of many people, the destruction of homes, and serious damage to transport infrastructure.
During these difficult days for the people of Nepal, I ask that you convey to all your compatriots, and especially to those who have lost relatives and loved ones, my words of comfort and solidarity.
I wish those affected a swift recovery, and I wish strength and endurance to all those working to address the consequences of this natural disaster.
