The relics of Righteous Paul of Taganrog were brought to the Volgodonsk diocesetranslated

On October 10, 2026, with the blessing of the Head of the Don Metropolis, Metropolitan of Rostov and Novocherkassk Mercury, the bringing of the relics of the righteous Paul of Taganrog to the parishes of the Don Metropolis began.

The bringing of the shrine is timed to coincide with two dates: the 10th anniversary of the church-wide glorification of Righteous Paul of Taganrog and the 15th anniversary of the formation of the Don Metropolis.

Accompanied by the chairman of the commission for the canonization of saints of the Don Metropolis, the ancient guardian of the Rostov-on-Don diocese, the rector of the St. Nicholas Church, Hieromonk Mavrikiy (Zvyagintsev) and the rector of the Church of All Saints of the city of Taganrog, Archpriest Igor Kovalev, the holy relics of the righteous Paul of Taganrog were delivered to Volgodonsk diocese.

On October 10, 2026, in the Cathedral in the name of Equal-to-the-Apostles Cyril and Methodius in the city of Salsk, an all-night vigil and prayer singing with an akathist to the righteous Paul of Taganrog were held. The relics were met by the clergy of the Volgodonsk and Tsimlyansky deaneries, representatives of the Don Cossacks and the administration of the city of Volgodonsk. In front of the relics, the first reading of the akathist to the saint was performed.
