The song “Marie the Virgin” was recorded for the Feast of the Intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary by the youth bishop’s choir “Rostok” from the city of Gorlovka.
On October 26, 2026, the track became available on popular online music platforms, the music group told Foma magazine.
The author of the music and words of the chant “Mary the Virgin” is one of the most revered saints of Greece - St. Nektarios of Aegina (+ 1920), Metropolitan of Pentapolis, wonderworker. The author of the translation was Hierodeacon German (Ryabtsev). The work is performed by the Rostok choir under the direction of Olga Ilchuk.
According to the director of the choir, the appeal to the famous chant is associated with a new stage in the life of the group - the emergence of a children's choir.
– When our children began to sing, it was time for us to turn to this work. We will be glad if our modest prayerful appeal to the Most Holy Theotokos resonates in the souls of those who will pray with us,” said Olga Ilchuk.
The release was released on Yandex Music, VK Music, Sound, KION Music and other popular music platforms.
