A prayer service for correctional system employees and their families was held in Krasnokamensktranslated

Prikhody.ru 10/12/2026. A prayer service for health and well-being was performed for employees of correctional colony No. 10 of the Department of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia in the Trans-Baikal Territory. The service took place in the Church of the Savior Not Made by Hands in the city of Krasnokamensk. The employees gathered here with their loved ones to pray together to ask for God’s help in their difficult and responsible service. The day before, several correctional officers and members of their families received the Sacrament of Baptism.

Addressing those gathered with a pastoral word, Abbot Simeon (Zimnyakov) emphasized the importance of spiritual support in a profession associated with constant psycho-emotional stress. He noted that faith gives strength to overcome difficulties, preserve humanity and justice. The priest wished the employees strength of spirit, patience, wisdom and God's blessing in their daily work, as reported in the public service of the Nerchinsk diocese.

After the prayer service, a funeral litany was performed for those colleagues who gave their lives in the performance of official and civic duty. Special prayers were offered for the repose of the souls of the murdered Orthodox soldiers - collaborators...
