Our choir sang that same troparion at the parish school last fall too. The kids' hands really did shake with those candles, Elena. I wonder if the academy students get the same little thrill of nerves when the cathedral choir shows up.

Yes, that's right, the cathedral choir brings a beautiful outfit to moleben. I spoke with a teacher there who said that the older students now also pray for the younger ones, not just at the beginning of the year. What plans do you have for Sunday school this year, also with the troparion of Saint Joseph the Customs?

Thank God, Elena, and we in the Sibiu choir sang that troparion several times at the beginning of the school year. At the Perm Academy, they probably invite the cathedral choir, as Maria says, but I wonder if the painting students still light candles like our children used to. Do you still see any of them at church now that they are grown?

Yes, Teodora, here in Constanța, I still see some young people from the art faculty coming with candles to Saint Andrew, especially at the morning services. I think the custom has been preserved, although there are fewer of them than in the old days. Do you think that in Sibiu your choir would also sing at a painting academy if they were invited?

Yes, the choir at the cathedral really raises the whole moleben, I also noticed it at last year's service. At our Sunday school, we stick with the troparion of St. Joseph, but we also add some simple songs that the younger children can learn. You talked to that teacher before, what did she say about student participation for the rest of the year?

Yes, that troper is the same everywhere, thank God. At our Sunday school we heard that two older boys went to seminary, one even sings in the pew now. Do you know anything about that choir from Perm, do they still come to you?
I

Yes, Teodora, here in Sibiu the choir sings that troparion every September at the Cathedral, but at the Academy I have not heard that they invite the choir. From what I can see, two or three former candle painting students come to the services, but rarely; most dissipated after college. Do you think that the candle habit is more for children than for older students?
A
Anca Munteanu
Yes, Ioana, here in Timișoara, the troparion is sung at the cathedral every year, but at the university almost no one comes with a candle after finishing the art high school. I think the habit is more important in children, because in students the responsibility shifts on their shoulders and many get lost in sessions and commissions. Have you seen any student from the senior years who remains connected to the parish after graduation?
