On September 7, the new school year began with a short service at the Sunday school for members of the NGO BelOI in Polotsk. Priest Georgy Odynets, cleric of the Epiphany Cathedral in Polotsk, served a prayer service with an akathist to Hieromartyr Konstantin Zhdanov.

The priest asked for health and God's help during the school year for the Sunday School students present. Sunday school for members of the NGO BelOI has been operating for more than 10 years.

We invite new listeners to join who want to get acquainted with the Bible, the peculiarities of the moral teaching of biblical books, which carry enormous spiritual benefits and have not lost their significance to this day.

Spiritual and educational classes for BelOI members are held on Mondays at the Spiritual and Educational Center of the Polotsk Diocese.

Scheduled classes include lectures and conversations by the confessor of the Sunday School, the Lives of saints, masterpieces of iconography are studied, festive events of the Orthodox calendar are held, film lectures, meetings with creative groups of the city.

The Spiritual Educational Center has a rich library of Orthodox literature.

Thanks for the news. I was happy that father Gheorghe served the moleben with the akathist of the holy martyr Constantin Zhdanov - a saint who suffered in hard times, but remained strong in his faith. I, like many in Polotsk, studied for years at the Sunday school for BelOI members, and the library there was of great use to me. I'll also stop by the center on Monday to see what's new.
