Metropolitan Antonie and representatives of the Romanian Government are preparing new projects for the Bessarabian communitiestranslated

Metropolitan Antonie of Bessarabia and representatives of the Department for Relations with the Republic of Moldova of the Romanian Government discussed on Tuesday the preparation of new projects for the Bessarabian Romanian communities.

The meeting took place at the headquarters of the Diocese of Bălți, where His Eminence received Ana Maria Dumitroiu-Şofâlcă, head of service, economic director Octavian Dragomir and councilor Vanghele Gana.

The discussions included the analysis of the initiatives that were carried out with the support of the institution, as well as the needs identified in the parishes within the Metropolis of Bessarabia.

His Holiness Father Antonie emphasized the importance of the support provided by the Department for Relations with the Republic of Moldova, recalling that supporting actions helps to strengthen cultural, educational and pastoral activities.

During the meeting, Ana Maria Dumitroiu-Şofâlcă was awarded by the Metropolitan of Bessarabia with the Baltățean Cross for the laity as a sign of appreciation for the help offered to the Diocese of Balti.
