Metropolitan Antonie of Bessarabia visited the Călărași District Council, where he discussed new joint projects with the regional authorities.

The meeting on Friday brought together representatives of the local public administration and the Government in the territory and had the objective of strengthening the collaboration between the Church and public institutions.

During the meeting, the projects carried out for the benefit of local communities were analyzed, as well as the possibilities of developing new joint initiatives in the fields of education, heritage, culture and social assistance.

"The management has expressed its complete openness to the initiatives aimed at bringing harmony, social support and moral benchmarks to the localities of Călărași", it is stated in a post on Facebook of the District Council.

The Most Reverend Father Antonie appreciated the involvement of the authorities in the development of the district and in supporting projects with a community impact, emphasizing that a community develops harmoniously when its institutions collaborate, with man and the common good at the center of concerns.
