His Eminence Father Antonie, Metropolitan of Bessarabia, requested support for combating religious disinformation, during a meeting with Iwona Piórko, the ambassador of the European Union in the Republic of Moldova.

The meeting took place on Friday at the headquarters of the Metropolis of Bessarabia in Chisinau, in the presence of Igor Belei, social advisor of the Archdiocese of Chisinau and executive director of the "Diaconia" Social Mission.

Institutional cooperation During the discussions, Metropolitan Antonie drew attention to the messages that present the European Union as a space against Christianity, tradition and family.

His Eminence emphasized that such messages contribute to the spread of mistrust and the vulnerability of society to propaganda.

In this context, the Metropolitan requested support for the development of tools to combat religious misinformation, through education, correct information and institutional cooperation.
