Metropolitan Longin of Simbirsk and Novospassky took part in the celebrations at the Trinity-Sergius Lavratranslated

On October 8, the Holy Trinity Lavra of Sergius celebrated the day of repose of the great Russian saint and founder of the monastery - St. Sergius, abbot of Radonezh.
The celebrations were led by His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Rus'. The Patriarch celebrated the All-Night Vigil in the Trinity Cathedral and the Divine Liturgy in the Dormition Cathedral of the Lavra.
At the end of the Liturgy in the Assumption Cathedral, His Holiness the Patriarch performed a prayer service before the revered icon of St. Sergius of Radonezh.
The Primate of the Russian Church addressed the believers with the Primate’s word.
Bishop's services on this day were also performed in other churches of the monastery.
The all-night vigil and Divine Liturgy in the Sergius Refectory Church were performed by a council of bishops, including Metropolitan Longin of Simbirsk and Novospassky. The services in the Refectory Church were led by Metropolitan Pavel of Krutitsky and Kolomna, Patriarchal Vicar of the Moscow Metropolis. The brethren of the monastery in the holy rank served with the archpastors.
At the end of the Liturgy, a prayer service was served to St. Sergius of Radonezh.
