Metropolitan Nikita led the Liturgy on the patronal feast of the Achinsk Cathedral of the Kazan Icon of the Mother of Godtranslated

On November 4, Wednesday of the 23rd Week after Pentecost, on the day of the celebration of the Kazan Icon of the Mother of God (in memory of the deliverance of Moscow and Russia from the Poles in 1612), Metropolitan Nikita of Krasnoyarsk and Achinsk celebrated the Divine Liturgy in the Cathedral of the Kazan Icon of the Mother of God in the city of Achinsk.

His Eminence was served by: the dean of the Achinsk district, the rector of the cathedral, Archpriest Pavel Frolov, and clergy of the Krasnoyarsk diocese.

Liturgical chants were performed by the choirs of the Achinsk Cathedral of the Kazan Icon of the Mother of God and the Sharypovsky Cathedral of the Holy Trinity.

During the Liturgy, special petitions and prayers for Holy Rus' were offered. With the blessing of His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia, this special prayer is performed in all churches of the Russian Orthodox Church at every service.

The sermon on the sacramental verse was delivered by the cathedral cleric, Priest Alexander Safimov.

Metropolitan Nikita and the clergy performed the glorification of the Kazan Icon of the Mother of God and a funeral litany for the repose of the dean of the churches of the Achinsk district, rector of the Cathedral of the Kazan Icon of the Mother of God in the city of Achinsk, Archpriest Evgeniy Frolov, who reposed in the Lord on August 24 after a serious illness.
