November 3, 2026 · 1 min read

On November 3, on the eve of the celebration of the Kazan Icon of the Mother of God (in memory of the deliverance of Moscow and Russia from the Poles in 1612), Metropolitan Nikita of Krasnoyarsk and Achinsk celebrated an all-night vigil in the Cathedral of the Kazan Icon of the Mother of God in the city of Achinsk.

His Eminence was served by: the dean of the Achinsk district, the rector of the cathedral, Archpriest Pavel Frolov, and clergy of the Krasnoyarsk diocese.

The liturgical chants were performed by the cathedral choir.

The head of the Krasnoyarsk Metropolis anointed the worshipers with oil, and at the end of the service, he addressed those gathered with an archpastoral word.

Bishop Nikita also congratulated the regular clergy of the cathedral on memorable dates and presented them with icons: Archpriest Dionisy Kolmakov - in honor of the 25th anniversary of priestly service, Archpriest Valery Rusakov - in honor of the 24th anniversary of his diaconal ordination.
