Metropolitan Nikita awarded teachers of Orthodox gymnasiums of the Krasnoyarsk Metropolistranslated

On October 16, a solemn event was held at the Uspensky Cultural and Historical Center in the city of Krasnoyarsk, in which the leaders and teachers of the Krasnoyarsk, Yenisei and Lesosibirsk Orthodox gymnasiums, dedicated to Teacher’s Day, took part. Before the start of the festive program, Metropolitan Nikita of Krasnoyarsk and Achinsk performed a prayer service in the Church of the Icon of the Mother of God “Vsetsaritsa” of the Monastery of the Dormition of the Blessed Virgin Mary.

The guests of honor were Deputy Minister of Education of the Krasnoyarsk Territory Konstantin Masiulis, Advisor to the Governor of the Krasnoyarsk Territory Svetlana Makovskaya, and Director of the Uspensky Cultural and Historical Center Tatyana Veselina.

Bishop Nikita addressed the audience with a welcoming speech.

After which he presented memorial signs “165 years of the formation of the Krasnoyarsk (Yenisei) diocese” to Konstantin Masiulis, Svetlana Makovskaya, Tatyana Veselina and awarded distinguished teachers and employees of Orthodox gymnasiums with bishop’s diplomas and letters of gratitude.  Then a concert took place at which students of educational institutions, clergy and the Siberian men's choir performed. At the end of the event, the bishop thanked the teachers for their work.
