Metropolitan Nikita Honored His Subdeacons on the Feast of Their Heavenly Patrontranslated

On September 19, during the commemoration of Blessed Archippus Herotopos (in Khonekh), Metropolitan of Krasnoyarsk and Achinsk Nikita met with the subdeacons at the Male Monastery of the Dormition of the Most Holy Theotokos in Krasnoyarsk.
The head of the Krasnoyarsk metropolitanate congratulated the subdeacons on the feast of their heavenly patron—Saint Archippus—and thanked them for their worthy service over the past year. Blessed Archippus is venerated as a protector of church servers and clergy: from the age of ten until his death at seventy, he served unstintingly as a server in the Church of the Archangel Michael in Khonekh, near Hierapolis in Phrygia. This was 60 years of continuous service to the church. The saint performed this ministry in strict fasting and prayer, converting many pagans to Christ.
Metropolitan Nikita congratulated Subdeacons Sergei Starkov, Alexander Shik-kemyn, Mikhail Starkov, Vladislav Makhin, and Yaroslav Ustinov, who are currently serving under his guidance. The head of the Krasnoyarsk metropolitanate presented them with commemorative medals "165 Years Since the Founding of the Krasnoyarsk (Yenisei) Diocese" and icons of the Dormition of the Most Holy Theotokos, after which a troparion for the Dormition of the Most Holy Theotokos was chanted.
The meeting continued over tea and informal conversation.
