Metropolitan Nikandr took part in church celebrations in the Saratov Metropolistranslated

On October 24, 2026, with the blessing of His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Rus', the Chairman of the Financial and Economic Administration of the Moscow Patriarchate, Metropolitan Nikandr of Vladimir and Suzdal took part in church celebrations in the Saratov Metropolis.

In the Holy Trinity Cathedral of the city of Balakovo, Bishop Nikandr, together with Metropolitan Ignatius of Saratov and Volsk, Bishop Innocent of Balakovo and Nikolaevsk, Bishop Tarasius of Balashovsk and Rtishchevsk, and Bishop Theodore of Pokrovsk and Novouzensk performed the great consecration of the church and the Divine Liturgy. The archpastors were co-served by the clergy of the Saratov Metropolis and guests in holy orders.

After the consecration, a religious procession took place around the church. During the Liturgy, a prayer was offered for Holy Rus'. The liturgical hymns were performed by the bishop's mixed choir of the Intercession Cathedral in Saratov under the direction of Antonina Konkova.

Addressing the participants of the celebration, Metropolitan Nikandr conveyed the greetings and blessing of His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Rus'.
