Metropolitan Longin took part in the forum of Cossacks of the Ulyanovsk regiontranslated

On September 26, Metropolitan Longin of Simbirsk and Novospassky attended the plenary meeting of the interregional VI forum of Cossacks of the Ulyanovsk region, which was held in the regional palace of creativity for children and youth. The head of the diocesan department for interaction with the Cossacks, Priest Mikhail Lazarev, also took part in the forum.

Governor of the Ulyanovsk region Alexey Russkikh addressed those present with a welcoming speech. Alexey Yuryevich presented letters of gratitude to representatives of Cossack societies.

Metropolitan Longin noted the high role of the Cossacks in the spiritual and patriotic education of the younger generation and recalled the foundations of Cossack traditions:

– The Cossacks are doing a lot of necessary work to educate the younger generation of Cossacks, to preserve their traditions, for which I sincerely thank you all.
