On November 4, a festive concert “The fate of the people is my destiny, its flourishing is my joy” was held at the Gubernatorial Center. The concert was dedicated to the Day of National Unity and the celebration in honor of the Kazan Icon of the Mother of God.

The concert was attended by the Governor of the Ulyanovsk Region Alexey Russkikh, Metropolitan of Simbirsk and Novospassky Longin, Bishop of Melekessky and Cherdaklinsky Diodorus, Bishop of Baryshsky and Inzensky Alexander, Chief Federal Inspector for the Ulyanovsk Region Yuri Kulik, Mayor of Ulyanovsk Alexander Boldakin, Minister of Art and Cultural Policy of the Ulyanovsk Region Evgenia Sidorova.

The head of the region welcomed the city residents and congratulated them on National Unity Day:

— The Ulyanovsk region is one of the most multinational regions in the country. Representatives of more than 120 nationalities live and work on our territory in peace and harmony. And we are always together - in sorrow and in joy, together we resist the enemy and celebrate holidays, we work and relax together. So, National Unity Day is not only November 4, it is every day of the biography of the Ulyanovsk region, every day of the thousand-year history of Russia.
