The Chairman of the Synodal Department of Religious Education and Catechesis, Metropolitan Ekaterinburg and Verkhoturye Evgeniy and the Deputy Chairman of SOROiK, Abbot Ioann (Rubin), met with representatives of the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation.

The Synodal Department of Religious Education and Catechesis was visited by the First Deputy Minister of Education of the Russian Federation Alexander Vyacheslavovich Bugaev. He was accompanied by Deputy Director of the Department of State Policy in the Field of Education, Additional Education and Children's Recreation Elena Nikolaevna Bayramova and Deputy Director of the Department of Development of the Physical Culture and Sports Education System Alexander Vladimirovich Minaev.

The meeting was also attended by the director of the Cleverlab ANO Yulia Evgenievna Selyukova and representatives of the Patriarchal Commission for Physical Education and Sports.

During the conversation, plans for interaction between the ministry and the Russian Orthodox Church in the field of physical education taught in educational institutions were discussed.
