Sazhino was a small church, now it is new. How was the icon of Troepruchits placed in the new church?
Ν
Νίκη Θεοδώρου
Good for you, Vladimir. I remember the small old church in Sazino from a long time ago, now with the new church and the icon of Panagia Troeroutsis inside it must be something else. Who brought her and where exactly did they put her?

I’m glad for the village of Sazhino that instead of a small old church there is now a new one. I wonder if the Three-Handed Icon was brought there a long time ago or just in time for the consecration? If anyone knows where exactly it stands - in the altar or on the lectern - write.

Рад за Сажино, что вместо старой маленькой церквушки теперь новый храм. Интересно, икону Троеручицу когда именно принесли — заранее или прямо к освящению? Если кто был, скажите, в каком месте она стоит.

Glad they finally got a proper church in Sazhino instead of that cramped old one. The Troeruchitsa icon was already there a couple of weeks before the consecration – I saw it standing to the left of the royal doors when I popped in for a look. Anyone know if they’re planning a regular moleben to her on Fridays?

I’m glad for Sazhino, a new church instead of the old cramped one is a good thing. The Three-Handed Icon already stood to the left of the royal doors a couple of weeks before the consecration, as Michael writes. I wonder if it will be there all the time or is it only taken out on holidays?

Michael and Michael are right, the icon was already standing to the left of the imperial door two weeks before the consecration. Here in Belgrade, the Three-Handed Saint also stands in a similar position in a church, so I'm glad that they placed it in the same way in Sažin. Thanks for sharing the detail.

You remember it well Niki, the old wooden church was very simple. The icon was brought by Metropolitan Eugene himself from the Holy Trinity of Yekaterinburg and placed to the right of the iconostasis, next to the lectern. When was the last time you went?

مريم حداد
Then, there is nothing wrong with it. This is the most important thing in the world. When and how often, this is the most important thing. In this case, there is a lot of noise in the phone.

Yeah, that old building really was too small for everyone. I noticed the Troeruchitsa icon too when I stopped by last week — nice to see her already in her place. No word on a regular Friday moleben yet, but I’ll ask Father Andrei next time I’m there.

Yes, I remember you telling me then, the picture actually went in exactly where you say. The last time I went was last summer, after the festival, and the place had changed a lot. When did you go, Pano?
Ε
Ευάγγελος Παπαγεωργίου
Well said Niki, the image is indeed impressive. I remember that the metropolitan brought her with great care into the new church. Did you go to Sazino after the opening?
Φ
Φωτεινή Παναγιωτοπούλου
Yes, I went a few days after the opening, when the crowd dropped a bit. The image does stand out, but what impressed me was how carefully they had made the space around it so that it wouldn't get wet. How did you see her up close, Evangel?

It is nice that the new church is ready, and indeed the place where they placed the icon, to the left of the Royal Door, is comfortable for prayer. I saw it when I visited the place a week ago, and I hope they will display it in the crosses around the village, especially on the feast of the Virgin.

Γιώργος Λαμπρόπουλος
Yes, I also went after the opening, on a weekday when there were less people. I remember the metropolitan holding her like a baby when he put her in her seat. You, Evangel, what did you think of the new church from the inside?
ن
نور عبود
Yes, Maryam, the place they put her in, to the left of the Royal Door, is really comfortable. I tried praying in front of her last Sunday and it was easy to concentrate. But I doubt that it appears on the cross around the village, because it is a large icon and a bit heavy. Maybe they will put a smaller version in its place.
Ν
Νίκη Θεοδώρου
Yes, I also went two weeks later, when it had quieted down. I remember the metropolitan holding her up the whole time until she was properly supported. You, Evangel, what did you think of the wood in the picture up close, did it look old?
إ
إلياس نصار
Yes, the icon in that place is really comfortable. I also stood in front of it during prayer. But I wish they would put it a little higher up so it would be more visible from a distance. Have you tried praying in front of her at sunset?
ر
رانيا معلوف
Yes, the icon really gives comfort to what stands in front of it. I visited the church two weeks after the consecration and noticed that it was a little high, but not enough for those sitting in the back. Have you tried praying at sunset? The light that comes from the window makes it more beautiful, but I wish they made it look more beautiful, as I said.
ن
نور عبود
Yes, the icon is really comfortable and I stood in front of it more than once after the canonization. But I prefer to pray in front of it early in the morning because the light is calm and does not dazzle the eye. Have you tried raising your voice a little while praying in the back to see it better?
س
سلمى حداد
Nour, I also love the early morning then. The soft light makes the face appear clearer. But I tried raising my voice as you said and I didn't feel much difference, perhaps because of the echo in the church. Are you praying for her with a specific intention or just for comfort?
ب
بشارة خوري
I also tried raising the volume once and I didn't feel a difference. The echo swallows everything up. I usually pray for her with the intention of my children’s health, but sometimes just for comfort when the mornings are heavy. Which part of prayer do you prefer the most?
ل
ليلى صايغ
I also tried raising the volume and did not feel a difference. The echo eats up all the words. I thank the repeated “Lord have mercy” part because it makes me calm my mind and think about my eldest son who has problems at work. When you pray for your children’s health, do you feel that they are really getting better or are you not at ease?
ن
نور عبود
I am with you, the echo in the church sometimes swallows words and does not leave focus. When I pray for my children, I feel that they really feel afraid, especially when I mention their names in detail after “Lord, have mercy.” Have you tried asking your eldest son about his work after you pray for him?
