Metropolitan Alexy and Bishop Methodius celebrated an all-night vigil at the Odigitrievsky Monastery in Chelyabinsktranslated

On the evening of August 9, on the eve of the feast of the Odigitrievskaya Icon of the Mother of God, Metropolitan Alexy of Chelyabinsk and Miass and Bishop Methodius of Kamensky and Kamyshlovsky celebrated an all-night vigil in the Chelyabinsk convent. The clergy of the monastery concelebrated with the archpastors. The head of Chelyabinsk, Alexey Loshkin, prayed during the service. At the litany, Metropolitan Alexy, clergy, sisters and believers walked around the church in a procession with the venerated Hodegetria icon of the Most Holy Theotokos. During the all-night vigil, the Six Psalms were read by the abbess of the Odigitrievsky Monastery, Abbess Eusevia (Lobanova). During the service, the clergy read an akathist to the icon of the Mother of God, called “Hodegetria.” Metropolitan Alexy anointed the parishioners with blessed oil. The archpastor congratulated everyone on the holiday. Tomorrow, on the day of the patronal celebration, Metropolitan Alexy and Bishop Methodius will celebrate the Liturgy in the convent.
