Missionary events “Evenings of Traditional Culture” were held at the city fountaintranslated

In June, on three Thursdays in a row, the diocesan youth department held missionary and educational events called “Evenings of Traditional Culture” at the city fountain. For an hour from 18.00 to 19.00, vacationers and passers-by could take part in guessing historical riddles, as well as try on the armor of a hero, take part in a master class on bell ringing and Slavic calligraphy and reading.
Priest Roman Nikitin, head of the youth department of the diocese, says:
“What element was not present in the clothing of the Russians who lived during the times of Ancient Rus'? Karmanov! This means the saying, “Words are hard to come by,” is not that ancient. Things that needed to be taken with them were tucked into a belt, hidden in a hat or in a bosom. They also used special bags or pouches that were hung on the belt or around the neck (called “kalita” or “moshna”). The pocket as a separate element of clothing first appeared in the 14th–15th centuries. This and much more was discussed during the educational event “Evenings of Traditional Culture”, organized by the Youth Department of the Kamchatka Diocese at the city fountain at the 6th km. It’s June, which means on Thursday evenings we hold promotions for children…
